1) this goes very well with chapathis, rotis, parathas and puttu

2) if you don't have coconut milk, you may grind grated coconut(of half a coconut) and pepper and use instead.

3) by substituting potatoes with tapioca pieces, you can make delicious "tapioca stew"

Ingredients

3 medium sized potatoes
2 medium sized onions
2 green chillies
2 tsp pepper powder
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 tbsp coconut oil or oil
1 cup thick coconut milk
salt to taste
Method


  1. Boil, remove skin and cut the potatoes into cubes
  2. Cut the onions into thin slices
  3. Slit the green chillies
  4. Boil the cooked potatoes with onions, green chillies,pepper,enough salt and water, for 10 minutes.
  5. When cooked, add the coconut milk and allow to boil for 3-4 minutes
  6. Now, add the coconut oil and curry leaves plainly into the stew
  7. The simple potato stew is now ready !!
